Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse Location: [Location unspecified]. This role involves providing pre-operative, post-operative, and phase I PACU care within an acute care setting. The position requires a seasoned professional with a strong focus on patient recovery, team collaboration, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Job Details

• Certifications: Illinois Licensure, CPR, and ACLS credentials required.
• Education Requirements: Active licensure in Illinois.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of solid core staff experience in an acute care setting, with at least 2 successful travel contracts.
• Shift: Evening shift, 10 hours per shift, with a schedule starting at 11:00 AM and ending at 9:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
• Schedule: Evening shifts, 10 hours, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidate must be punctual and ready to work at shift start with a positive attitude; Tardiness cannot be tolerated. Ability to float within the department, including to the Pre-op and Post-op areas, is required. The ideal candidate will be a team player comfortable assisting others.
• Submission Requirements: Updated resume showing experience, two references (at least one from a recent travel contract within the last year and from a supervisor in PACU), updated skills checklist, and active Illinois licensure and certifications due Thursday before start.
• Experience Preferred: Contract extensions are viewed favorably.
• No other minimum experience requirements are specified.
