About This Role

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about early childhood education to join our staff! The ideal candidate will:

• Have a love for young children and respect for their perspective, a passion for early childhood education and community

• Have a collaborative spirit- willing to work within a team to support children's learning and growth
• Ability to employ strong communication skills in both verbal and written communication
• Have a growth mindset and “can do” attitude- views obstacles as opportunities

What You'll Do

We are looking for people who want to help children explore so interests in the arts, science, nature, literacy, or mathematical learning is a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Works with a team to create a high-quality program to support the independence, curiosity, relationships, and learning goals of children aged 2-5.
• Attends to the safety of children at all times.
• Fosters a spirit of exploration and inquiry, a sense of community, and joy of learning.
• Maintains CPR and First Aid certifications and appropriate professional development requirements.
• Upholds positive and interactive relationships with families and community.
• Creates clear and appropriate classroom expectations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administration to support the overall functioning of the program.
• Maintains an open mind, creative, and curious perspective and approach to classroom interactions.

Requirements

• Education and Experience in Early Childhood Education or related field required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;

Ability to remain responsible at all times for the supervision

of children and working cooperatively with a team.
