About the Facility LocationMilpitas offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of recreational and entertainment options suited to varied interests. Notable destinations include the Great Mall of the Bay Area, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area, Spring Valley Golf Course, and Ed Levin County Park, which provides opportunities for hiking and outdoor recreation. Clinicians will also find venues such as SAP Center, Levi's Stadium, and the Tech Museum of Innovation accessible nearby, along with family-oriented activities including handbuilding pottery classes and whale watching tours in the Monterey Bay area.
About the Clinician's WorkdayClinicians will provide outpatient primary and urgent care services to adult patients at a correctional facility clinic, working Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a day shift schedule. Clinical responsibilities consist primarily of sick visits and minor patient management within a minimum-security setting, with an average caseload of 14 patients per day. On-site support staff includes MD, APP, RN, and EMS to assist with daily clinical operations. Prescriptive authority is required for this position.
